CANCELLATION & REFUNDS
Cancellation & Refunds
These rules apply to jobs coordinated on Koochbhi. Your statutory consumer rights are not reduced by anything on this page.
Before work starts
Either person can cancel an agreed job before work starts. Cancel as early as you can and tell the other person why. If any money was collected, it is refunded to the payer through the original payment method, subject to the payment provider's processing time.
No-show
If the provider does not arrive, or the requester is not available, report it at Report an issue. Repeated no-shows can lead to account restrictions.
Partial or unsatisfactory work
Describe what was done and what was not, with photos or messages if you have them. Koochbhi can record the dispute and may propose a partial refund or part-payment; because Koochbhi is not the contractor, final settlement depends on what the two people agree, or on law.
Disputes and escalation
Raise a dispute within a reasonable time after the work date. Staff review the job record. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, escalate through Grievance Redressal.
Refund timing
Koochbhi does not promise a refund time. The payment provider and your bank decide when a refund reaches you; we will share the refund reference when one is issued.
Requester approval and disputed payments
For paid in-platform services, the requester pays through PayU instead of transferring money directly to the provider. The provider marks the work complete and the requester confirms satisfactory completion before ordinary provider payout release. If work is incomplete, disputed, or cancelled, the provider payout should remain unreleased while the matter is reviewed, subject to payment-provider and statutory requirements.
Where appropriate, resolution may involve rework, partial payment, a refund or another remedy required by law. A satisfactorily completed and accepted service is ordinarily not refundable solely because of a subsequent change of mind; this does not restrict remedies for deficient service, fraud or other statutory rights.
